He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Applied Arts, Department of Furniture and Interior Design, specializing in Decoration, Helwan University, in 1974. He also studied visual arts in Italy from 1973 to 1975.\u003cbr\u003eSince 1980, he has worked as a designer at a firm specializing in interior design and execution. He also served as Director of the Greek Campus Gallery. He is a member of the Syndicate of Applied Arts Designers, the National Association of Fine Arts, and the “Sohbet Fan” Art Association.\u003cbr\u003eSince 1986, Gomaa has held and participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. His notable solo exhibitions include “Inspired by Nature,” “Stone Compositions,” “Shapes and Stones,” “Sculptural Wire Compositions,” “Wire and Stone,” “Woven Wire,” “The Wilderness,” and “The Magic of Wires.” He has also participated in numerous local group exhibitions, including several editions of the General Fine Arts Exhibition, as well as exhibitions at prominent art centers and galleries in Cairo. Internationally, he participated in the Second International El-Berulus Forum for Wall and Boat Painting in 2015.\u003cbr\u003eHis artistic practice is characterized by meticulous attention to detail and a strong interest in nature, materials, and innovative techniques. He is considered one of the early artists to introduce stone compositions and developed a distinctive method of shaping iron and wires of different diameters without welding. His practice also extends to woodwork and watercolor still-life paintings.\u003cbr\u003eHis artistic vision has been shaped by his background in design and interior decoration and his interest in international design, particularly the Italian experience. This influence is reflected in his emphasis on precision, natural materials, and carefully constructed artistic forms.\u003cbr\u003eHe has visited several European countries, including Italy, France, Monte Carlo, Nice, Spain, and Greece.
