The thread is not merely used as a visual medium; it becomes a symbol of the invisible connections that bind people together—connections of memory, belonging, and shared identity.\u003cbr\u003eThe multiple layers of textile elements give the artwork a sense that the human being is, in itself, a fabric woven from accumulated layers and stories.\u003cbr\u003eThe presence of women further emphasizes their role as \u003cbr\u003ebearers of memory, identity, and heritage.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eNagat Farouk\u003cbr\u003eI graduated with a bachelor in art education from Helwan University in 1987, and I obtained my Master's and doctorate degrees in art education from Helwan University.\u003cbr\u003eI have held various solo exhibitions, including at the Gezira Arts Center, the Egyptian Opera House and the Egyptian Museum of Modern Art. I also participated in many local and international exhibitions such as the Cairo Salon Exhibition, Agenda Exhibition at Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and the International South Salon in Luxor, among many others in I addition to moderating many workshops and curating art exhibitions in Egypt and abroad. My work can be found within the permanent collection of the Ministry of Defense and Aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and as well as the Visual Arts Sector at the General Authority for Culture, the Suez Canal Authority. \u003cbr\u003eMy work is also within private collections in Egypt and the United States. In 2019, I was granted the Painting Award from the Ismailia Micro Art Biennale I inspiration is drawn from women in folklore and in Ancient Egypt. \u003cbr\u003ein addition to 2023, I was granted the calligraphiti prize in the Fujairah International Arabic Calligraphy Competition .\u003cbr\u003ealso, to 2024 my Participation Symposium in Dharamshala, District-Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India   \u003cbr\u003e My concepts are woven in a mixture of folkloric and ancient Egyptian elements and motifs; capturing the essence and aesthetics of both worlds.\u003cbr\u003e Through diligent research, my body of work reveals a hidden world full of ancient symbols, but with a rhythm, that combines heritage and the contemporary.\u003cbr\u003e I was also inspired by folk art through the spontaneous drawings on houses and enchanting handicrafts with the diverse palette with different.
