A classic French-style cylinder or roll-top desk, traditionally known as a "Bash Takhta," featuring a refined multi-toned wooden veneer and exquisite brass mounts. The curved rolling shutter is decorated with a detailed parquet or chevron wood-grain pattern. The upper section incorporates a gallery tier with small drawers trimmed in delicate brass borders, while the main frame is supported by four slender, fluted tapered legs. Highly ornate, sculptural brass acanthus leaf and floral scroll ormolu mounts embellish the corner shoulders and side trim.
