Vintage Treadle Desk

A classic vintage treadle sewing machine cabinet crafted from solid wood with a warm, natural honey-brown finish. The ingenious mechanical design features a split top surface that opens or retracts, built to house a fold-away sewing machine. The lower front composition is highly functional, flanked by two vertical tiers of decorative faux and functional side drawers, each detailed with grid-line engravings and ornate drop-ring brass handles. A central pair of cupboard doors sits directly above the lower recess, which still retains the original cast-iron foot treadle pedal near the base.
