From the Garden of Heliopolis University- Abdel-Aziz El-Guindy

Following an invitation from my friend, the artist Mohamed Khamis, and my student, the artist Hanaa Shawar, I spent a day surrounded by artists, riders, and students from the faculty. The work evokes a warm winter atmosphere, where a sense of melancholy blends with the dark, faded greens of winter, intertwined with golden and lighter tones that always emerge with quiet subtlety. The work is executed using mixed media.

Abdel Aziz El-Gendy Egyptian visual artist Born in Cairo in 1968.
Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University.
Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1991, specializing in Graphic Arts.
Received his Master’s degree in 1996 and his PhD in 2001.
Member of the Syndicate of Plastic Artists.
Founder and supervisor of the One-Shot Artists Group since 2002.
Worked as a press illustrator for several publications, including Sabah El-Kheir magazine.
Worked in animation and book arts.
Nominated for the State Award for Excellence by Helwan University in 2022 and by the Syndicate of Plastic Artists in 2024.
Has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions since his student years.
Received four awards at the Youth Salon and an award at the Ismailia Film Festival.
Served as a jury member on numerous committees in the fields of visual arts, animation, and caricature.
In 2024, he was honored and presented with the Golden Pen as a Guest of Honor at the 6th edition of the Dr. Nawar Drawing Award at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Russian University.
In 2025, he was honored by the Ministry of Culture during Culture Day, celebrating Egypt’s creative artists.
