The work “Ballet Dancers” depicts graceful, slender dancers swaying across the stage. What particularly caught the artist’s attention while creating this work, as well as her other works inspired by the theater, were the spectators seated before her. The subtle movements of their heads suggest the expression of their emotions and their engagement with the performance. The colorful stage lights fall across the scene, transforming the spectators into shadowed heads immersed in darkness, with faint silhouettes of light tracing the edges and defining their forms. It is as though the spectators’ bodies are also swaying along with the dancers, creating a captivating harmony.
