Cellist - Hossam Hussein

Hossam Hussein Hamed, born in Zagazig in 1975, is an Egyptian visual artist specializing in sculpture. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Zagazig University in 1997 with Very Good Honors, ranking second in his class. He later obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Art Education from Helwan University in 1998 and pursued postgraduate studies in three-dimensional expression at the Faculty of Art Education in Zamalek from 1998 to 2003.
Hamed received the State Creative Arts Fellowship Award in Sculpture from the Supreme Council of Culture for four consecutive years between 2018 and 2023.
He has participated in numerous international sculpture symposiums and exhibitions, including the International Nubia Granite Sculpture Symposium in Aswan, the First Matrouh Iron Sculpture Symposium, the Siwa Rock Salt Sculpture Symposium, the “Life and Death” Stone Sculpture Symposium in the Mamluk Desert, and the Second Port Said Iron Sculpture Symposium.
He has participated in more than 40 group exhibitions, as well as three editions of the General Exhibition. He has also held several solo exhibitions at Cordoba Gallery and Samah Art Gallery, and participated in various art exhibitions and sculpture salons, including the Sculpture Salon at the Palace of Arts, Cairo Opera House, in 2023.
His works are held in the collections of the Ministry of Culture, as well as various companies, institutions, and private collectors in Egypt and abroad. Two of his sculptures are permanently displayed in the Central Park in Sharm El-Sheikh, created on the occasion of COP27 in 2022.
