Effat Hosny

Effat Hassan Hossny Hafez (1942–2021) was an Egyptian painter, press illustrator, and art director. A graduate of the Faculty of Applied Arts (1963), he worked for over three decades in cultural journalism and served as artistic director and consultant at Dar Al-Hilal. His work, influenced by Egyptian heritage and folk art, blends realism with symbolic and surreal elements. His artworks are held in major Egyptian institutions and private collections worldwide.
