The painting does not present the place as a static landscape, but rather as an emotional state. The expressive brushstrokes and the interplay of colors give the scene a sense of rhythm and emotion, while light and color extend across the land and water, creating a dialogue between calm and intensity, and between the stillness of the tree and the movement of the world around it.
It is a moment in nature, but at its core, it is a celebration of life. The tree appears as though it has grown from memory, illuminating the scene from within.
