There are many faces that echo the passage of time, seen in museums both in Egypt and around the world. Inspired by ancient Egyptian artifacts carved from igneous stone, particularly granite, the work explores how to reach a contemporary form that reflects the present while preserving a sense of balance.
The composition seeks to create an underlying movement that conveys the idea of waiting and stillness, while also exploring the tension between surface and form, and between the dynamics of movement and the static nature of stillness. This continuous struggle ultimately becomes a means of preserving identity.
