Pascale Massoud is a Lebanese contemporary visual artist, painter, sculptor, art educator, and art-restoration specialist. Born in Lebanon in 1966, she holds a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from the Lebanese University, Institute of Fine Arts II, completed in 2012. Her artistic training also includes restoration, and her practice extends across painting, sculpture, mixed media, mural art, and mosaic.
Her artistic journey is characterized by a continuous exploration of identity, human experience, culture, heritage, and social themes. Through expressive colors, textures, symbolism, and mixed techniques, Massoud transforms personal and collective experiences into visual narratives. Her works invite viewers to reflect on the relationship between the individual, society, memory, and the cultural environment.
Massoud has presented her work in numerous solo and collective exhibitions in Lebanon, Europe, and Arab countries. Her solo exhibitions include Beirut Found but Missed and Inner Selfie, while she has also organized and participated in numerous artistic projects and collaborative exhibitions. Her work has been featured at venues and events within Lebanon’s contemporary art scene.
Beyond her own artistic production, Pascale Massoud is deeply committed to developing and promoting the visual arts in Lebanon. She teaches art through her atelier in Fanar and organizes exhibitions, workshops, and cultural initiatives that bring artists and art lovers together. Her atelier has also been featured in the Beirut Art Days program through artistic workshops and live-model drawing sessions.
She is also involved in artistic and cultural organizations and initiatives, including Moultaka Alalwan Al-Fanni, and has worked to create opportunities for artists to exhibit, exchange ideas, and build a stronger artistic community.
Her artistic philosophy is rooted in the belief that art is a language of freedom, identity, dialogue, and connection. Whether through a painting, sculpture, installation, or collaborative cultural project, Pascale Massoud seeks to create work that speaks to the human spirit while celebrating the richness of Lebanese culture and heritage.
Today, she continues to work as an artist, educator, organizer, and advocate for the arts, contributing to the cultural landscape of Lebanon through her creative practice and her dedication to the artistic community. Her work and activities have also attracted public cultural attention, including her efforts to promote fine arts in Lebanon.
