Memory of a Place - Sherine El-Saadany

The place in the painting does not appear as a specific reality, but rather as a memory whose features change over time. The sky, the earth, and the built environment coexist within a single space, while the figures appear as an integral part of the scene rather than as separate elements. Here, color becomes a means of evoking the feeling of a place rather than describing it, as though the painting seeks to capture what remains in memory after the details have changed.

Sherine El-Saadany is an Egyptian visual artist and a graduate of the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University.
She began her artistic journey by joining “Murad Workshops” in 2019 under the guidance of Dr. Murad Darwish. She continued her artistic development with Dr. Abdel Aziz El-Gendy through the “Develop Your Art” workshop, exploring and refining her own distinctive artistic style.
She participated in the Young Egyptian Visual Artists Exhibition in 2023 and continues to explore and redefine her artistic vision through each new experience.
