Samir Abd ElGhany

Samir Abdel Ghani is an Egyptian cartoonist known for his satirical style that reflects societal issues with a sophisticated critical spirit.

He began his artistic career with a great passion for drawing and succeeded in establishing a distinctive style in the art of caricature.

His works are characterized by simple lines and profound ideas, along with an ability to express the concerns of ordinary people in an engaging manner.

He has participated in several art exhibitions and presented works that have garnered public acclaim. He was awarded the Best Cartoonist Award from the Journalists Syndicate in 2006 and the Sawiris Award for Children's Illustrations for the poetry collection "Before the Watermelon" by poet Abeer Abdel Aziz in 2024. He also co-founded the Caricature Museum in Fayoum and the Caricature Museum at Minya University.
