Witnessing - Wafa Nashashibi

The face at the forefront of the scene stands as a witness to humanity—to its stories, pains, and dreams, embodied by the multitude surrounding it. With closed eyes, the figure is not absent from reality; rather, it sees it with deeper insight, as though carrying the collective memory and listening silently to its voices. The figures stand side by side in their varied colors, embodying the diversity of human experiences, while the witness remains steadfast, embracing everyone without taking sides. The painting contemplates the relationship between the individual and the collective, affirming that, in the end, every human being is a witness to their time, to themselves, and to others.

Wafa Nashashibi is a visual artist who uses color to express human emotions and embody emotional experiences. My work reflects a deep sensitivity toward humanity and a spirit of freedom that gives each painting its pulse and movement.
