A Scene from Al-Darb Al-Wastani in the Historic Al-Hattaba Area of the Historic Al-Qalaa District
The artist presents the scene through an expressive, Fauvist-leaning approach, characterized by vivid, intense colors and strong contrasts between light and dark tones. The work captures the popular character of the neighborhood through the hanging decorations and the distinctive forms of the doors and windows. The use of color conveys the essence of everyday life in the Egyptian alley, with the presence of the dog adding a sense of life and movement to the scene.
