Mohamed Wahba El Shenawy is an Egyptian artist specializing in comics and graphic storytelling. Born in 1986, he studied art independently and developed an early passion for drawing, eventually turning his attention to comics and developing a distinctive visual language inspired by everyday Egyptian life and culture.

His work explores the details of Egyptian daily life and ordinary scenes through a visual approach that combines narrative and artistic expression, with particular attention to local places, characters, and cultural features. His work has been presented in exhibitions and artistic events in Cairo, Moscow, Japan, and Switzerland, and he has held a solo exhibition at the Goethe-Institut in Cairo.

Wahba El Shenawy has participated in various projects and events dedicated to comics and graphic storytelling. He also conducts workshops on comic art at different venues across Egypt. His notable publications include Cairo and Siwa, as well as A Traveling Illustrator’s Diary, which documents his observations and drawings of Egyptian streets and everyday life.

His artistic practice is rooted in direct observation and engagement with his surroundings, transforming everyday details into visual narratives that reflect Egyptian identity and the spirit of place.
