Fairuz - Sherif Abdel-Kader

Fairuz, the Harp of the East... is a work that belongs to the art of portraiture, accompanied by Surrealist Expressionism within a new framework that differs from traditional portraiture.

Sherif Abdelkader was born in Shobra El-Kheima, El-Qalyubia, Egypt. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Helwan University, earned in 1992, and a Diploma in Child Education from Ain Shams University, earned in 2001. He is a member of the Association of Fine Artists and the Society for Fine Art Lovers.
He has held several solo exhibitions, including “Dialogue of Things” in 2017 and “Acappella” in 2022, and has participated in numerous group exhibitions and international art events in Egypt and abroad, including exhibitions in Germany, Turkey, Austria, Italy, and the Philippines.
His artistic practice is rooted in Surrealism and Expressionism, with influences from Oriental miniature art. Through symbolic imagery, expressive compositions, and layered visual narratives, he explores the possibilities of contemporary figurative expression.
