Girls of Bahary — Ghada El-Naggar**
This painting is one of the artist’s most cherished works, representing a significant stage in Ghada El-Naggar’s artistic journey and the evolution of her visual language. Through this piece, the artist revisits Al-Qalaa and Bahary in Alexandria, places deeply connected to cherished memories, tranquility, and the timeless beauty of the sea.
The work evokes the gentle atmosphere of Alexandria through the scent of the sea, its calming presence, and the joyful image of young girls playing in its waters. These intimate moments transform the familiar landscape into a deeply personal visual memory, where place, nostalgia, and emotion converge to capture the enduring beauty of a beloved city.
