Heba Fekry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Ain Shams University. She views art as a form of existential creativity that reimagines reality and elevates the value of imagination in creating the artist’s own world.
Her artistic journey began by studying and reproducing works of international art, before developing a particular interest in political thought, influenced by her studies in law. She was inspired by artists such as Pablo Picasso and Vincent van Gogh in her early years, as well as Egyptian artists Nazly Madkour and Ahmed Fouad Selim.
Heba Fekry believes that the journey of learning never ends as long as we are alive. Artists continue to learn through exhibitions, diverse artistic movements, and every authentic artistic experience. In her view, every sincere work of art carries a message that each viewer experiences according to their own personal feelings. Encountering an artwork becomes both a source of pleasure and a journey of discovery and learning.
In her practice, Fekry focuses on movement within the artwork while intentionally omitting many details, allowing the viewer to complete what is missing through their own imagination. In this way, each viewer creates a personal world through their interaction with the work, transforming the viewing experience into a harmonious visual rhythm between what is seen in reality and what is perceived through the eye of imagination.
