IBIS - Mohamed Ibrahim

MOHAMED IBRAHIM Born in 1983 in Qurna, west of Luxor, artist Mohamed Ibrahim developed his talent in an environment rich in inspiration. His journey with sculpture began at the age of nine, and in 1993, he held his first exhibition under the patronage of an Italian foundation supporting young talents. He worked with local materials such as sandstone, talc, and limestone, completing his first granite sculpture at the age of thirteen.
Encouraged by a relative who collected his works, he continued sculpting until the age of twenty, later engaging with the Cultural Palace in West Luxor, which enriched his artistic vision. Over time, his focus shifted towards modern sculpture, blending emotion, philosophy, and form into thought-provoking compositions.
Beyond his personal practice, Ibrahim dedicated himself to teaching, training children and women in sculpture through cultural programs. His works have been exhibited in venues such as Luxor Art Gallery, and he has participated in international events, including the 7th International Ceramics Symposium in 2023. He continues to push the boundaries of contemporary sculpture.
